I completely understand! I used to have a stutter when I was little and had good enough speech therapy to where now I, for the most part, only do it when I get really excited or nervous. Recently I had my worst stutter when ordering some food, you should've seen her face... And my husband already left. I broke down later from it but that was a rare occurrence among normal times I 'expect' it to happen. I find myself resorting back to the old tricks of "turtle" speech stopping for a second and slowing down, or I'll just stop and try to find another word to switch to if I'm just hung up on a random word.
