That seems like the ideal option but not sure if it'll be reality. I don't entirely agree with that. As far as I'm aware, the understanding of anyone's stutter and its origin is completely unknown. I guess we know what it is but we don't know what causes it, possible symptoms of it or how to really fix it. It's usual listed as a "glitch", in my experience anyways. Some people I've spoken with have said that their stutter came around the same time they had been going through some bad personal stuff, mental or physical, it all has an affect imo. Other people have had their stutter since they were very young or even when they didn't have any traumatic experiences but that's one of the many differences of the stutter. I have a funny suspicion mine may be to do with trauma and confidence which is where I think a therapist would come in but as you said, some Speech Therapists may be able to cover that part and most normal therapists don't understand stuttering, not that we know much more about it tbh.
