Mine appeared at about 3 when I was beginning to form proper sentences, so I guess all my life. My dad has had a stutter since he was a child too. I've always wondered if I picked it up from him just by learning to speak from him or if it was something more genetic, I'm really not sure. But yeah, I'm nearly 30 now no kids of my own yet, I do wonder if I'll "pass it on" to them as well though.
