I went up to each of my professors after class on the first day and explained my circumstances. I said I was ready and willing to participate, but it just takes me a little longer to get my thoughts out. Honestly, I did it for my own comfort more than theirs. It really helped. College is a great time. You make mistakes. You mess up. You figure out the foundation of who you’ll be the rest of your life.
