To answer your first question, it’s counter productive to the goal of acceptance. There is no cure for stuttering. The sooner that you accept the fact that you are a person who communicates differently, the happier you’ll be. Anxiety and fear are what make stuttering really suck. And not acknowledging the fact that you have a disability just adds pressure to yourself to try and be fluent always. And ultimately when a block comes out you beat yourself up for not being in control.
