I typically don’t. They get the point. Sometimes I try to use synonyms, like “speech impediment” or “speech issue” or “my brain sucks ass sometimes”. I’ve been pulled over and asked my name. I couldn’t say it so the officer thought I was lying/hiding something. Got my car searched because I stutter!
