My bad, let me elaborate: More action needs to be taken, than just speaking slowly, to overcome stuttering. There are only positives to gain from speaking slowly and controlling your speaking. It does improve your speech and I highly recommend it. The way you phrased your response makes it seem like it's not worth trying. Wrong attitude. My personal experience, and years of research, knows this to work.
